IT SELF SERVICE PORTAL WITH AND WITHOUT IT SERVICE CATALOGUE

IT self service portals are designed with an aim to reduce the call volume at the service desk. However most of the time, IT self service portals are reduced to exactly that. IT self service means IT self help and IT self service, which have the same meaning contextually, but in the data center this makes a big difference.

IT self service is more than just booking from the IT service catalogue. We will show you how the interaction between the IT service catalogue and the IT self service portal takes place. In the seminar on IT self service portal modern and innovative concepts are shown, also how to get more out of IT self service portal. It shows how to design an IT self service and how to control it, even though you're giving the control to the user.

The autonomy of IT or the transfer of previous data center activities to the users represents a high potential for cost savings. In order to keep IT under control, new control concepts are needed. The seminar participants are also familiarized with six different IT self services covering many areas, from new employee onboarding to data warehousing.

SERVICE DESK AND IT SELF SERVICE TRAINING

The IT fields of service desk, IT self service and IT operations are in direct conflict. In the past, service desk had to compensate for many of the missing processes in IT operations. In today's world, IT operations are more structured.

The number of tasks to be processed at the service desk has not decreased. The service desk and IT operations continue to work alongside and optimize the operations independently. It has been observed that an independent optimization of the service desk and IT operations can lead to a reduction in growth at the service desk. This does not solve the problem.
